Making space for dreams and dreamers; a hanging installation diving into a personal understanding of transition, time, and the sleeping mind.
Making space for dreams and dreamers; a hanging installation diving into a personal understanding of transition, time, and the sleeping mind. This project is an attempt to understand the dream space through morphing narratives and images within a mobile. Through my obsession with experimentation I have begun to create visual vocabulary depicting the strange yet meaningful symbols within dreams. I have collected my own dreams, continuously learning what makes a dream feel like a dream. Much of this project has pushed me towards the idea of space, time, and transitions between them.
Materials; gouache, colored pencils, acrylic paint, wax pastels, paper, balsa wood, ceramics, paper mache, vellum, metal rods, and fishing line.
